Answers

Q1. Does Aerial support both men's and women's competitions?

A. Yes. It also does T&T. You can purchase either an Artistic (both men's and women's) or T&T system, or you can purchase a system to support both meet types.

Q2. Is technical support available?

A.
Yes. In fact, when you purchase Aerial, its like having a consultant an your meets. You can call us any time (preferably 9-5 Pacific Time), but if it's an emergency, call us!
You can call us before your meets or during your meets. You can arrange for us to be "on-call" during your meets. Having someone to talk to can be a big help, especially at crunch time.

If you like, we will check out your meet rosters before your meet to make
sure everything is in order.

These services are FREE.

We also provide on-site support, but this is an extra-cost service.

Q3. Cost-wise, how does Aerial compare to ProScore and others?

A. Aerial is the most cost-effective system available.

We realize not everyone has the same needs, so we make Aerial modular. You can select the function to fit the way you work, or that fit your budget! And if you start with a 'introductory' system, you can always expand as your needs increase.

Because Aerial is modular, you purchase only the features you need. Begin with an entry-level system; you can always expand as your needs increase.
Price/performance-wise, Aerial is unbeatable. But there's more —

You never need to pay for "the latest release" —version upgrades are free!

And multi-user networking is built in and comes at no extra cost.

Q4. How does Aerial generate real income?

A. Aerial will help you increase your meet income in two ways.

1. Individualized "Meet Certificates" are popular and are a low-cost momento. Certificates combine scores & placements with the gymnasts picture (or host club logo), border graphics and custom text.

2. Use Aerial's +Graphics or Message Express to sell advertising for local merchants.

Aerial can pay for itself after just one or two meets — then continue to add to your bottom line. We typically make $300-$400 per meet from just the Meet Certificates.

Q5. Is Aerial easy to learn?

A. Yes. In fact, Aerial redefines ease of use.

Aerial uses familiar objects — like forms, folders and filecabinets — to help you organize and run your meets.
It's friendly, intuitive interface makes it easy to learn and use. We've made it easy for beginners, yet powerful for professionals.

Q6. What makes Aerial different from other scorekeeping software?

A. This question could require a lot of space...

To begin with, Aerial is much more than a "scorekeeping program." Of course, it does scorekeeping very
well, but it goes well beyond. It is really an Information Management System for gymnastics competitions.

This means that it takes into consideration all the information processes that goes into running a meet,
from earliest planning states to post-season analysis. Then it links clubs electronically to efficiently support these information processes.

For example, t
he best source for a Team List is the visiting club. So Aerial made it easy for clubs to electronically send team lists to the meet host. Lists are automatically applied to the meet roster. Less work, less fuss, and errors become a rarity. Things no longer "fall through the cracks."

If changes occur, resend the list, and the meet roster is automatically updated.

Meet Results can be electronically exchanged, then imported to your own history database. You can extract your own team to create a personalized team history, track individual progress, or run qualification reports.

All on your own computer.

There are so many innovations that sets Aerial apart, it is impossible to describe them all in a limited space.

Things like Aerial's Intelligent Report Designer to help you define complex reports. Or links to your business software. Or playing floor music. Or helping the meet emcee pronounce names. How about a meet simulator to test session timing? Advanced meet planning with projected data.

And much more...

Things like its Smart 'Boards. It's Intelligent Scoreboard Technology will add a dynamic new dimensions to your meets. More than just scoreboards, these 'boards form an integrated visual information display. You can 'teach' them what information to display, as well as how and when to display it.

And you can send text stream from the master scorekeeping stations to each scoreboard display. You can use this feature to advertise, inform, and even entertain.

Q7. Do I need to purchase multiple Event Stations?

A. No. Purchase only one. The software can be loaded onto as many laptops as you need. When the Event Station software is started, you will identify the event for which it will be used.

Q8. Does Aerial provide for data security?

A. Yes, definitely, because you can never tell when a computer will fail.

If, for example, power is suddenly dropped from a computer while it is in use and files are opened, files can be damaged or destroyed. For this reason, Aerial is constantly doing 'backups'.

Whenever you exit a form, key files are copied to a '.Backup' folder. The same is true when you start or exit the system. During scorekeeping, the roster is copied to a backup after every four scores are entered, or after receiving data from the Event Stations.

At startup, Aerial does a complete check of the current database, looking for any corrupt files; if it finds corruption, is automatically restores the latest from the ".Backup" directory.

And when Event Stations are used, another level of redundancy is created; you will have meet scores for each event at the Event Stations, as well as at the master scorekeeping station.

When preparing for a meet, you can create backup's of your meet roster simply by 'dragging' your meet to the file cabinet's 'Backup' drawer.

Computer mishaps are rare, but can happen. Aerial goes to great lengths to protect your data, and enables you to quickly recover with little or no loss.

Q9. Does Aerial support networking?

A. Yes. If you have a working network linking your Event Stations and the Master Scorekeeper, Aerial can use it to transfer data from Event Station to Master. The network can be wired or wireless, it doesn't matter.

And if a wireless link goes down, and can't be restarted, Aerial enables you to transfer scores using a floppy diskette or USB device. You don't need a network to use Event Stations.

Q10. Is Aerial
guaranteed?

A. Yes. Aerial comes with a 30-day, full refund guarantee. If you're not satisfied, return it for a full refund.

But try it out at one of your meets. You can download a trial version, which you can unlock (request a key) for 30 days. This is a full-featured system; you can run a meet with it. If you are satisfied, you can upgrade the trial version to a working production version.
