Aerial enables several levels of networking. Before the meet: Inter-club Networking. Clubs can update the host club's meet roster with team lists containing embedded commands (INCLUDE, SCRATCH or CHANGE). Team lists can be sent and re-sent, as changes are required. This makes it easy for the host to maintain a roster, and eliminates errors caused by manually handling data multiple times. During the meet: Event Station Networking. The Event Stations can be networked to an Aerial master scorekeeping computer. Scores and judge's comments can be entered at the judging tables and transmitted to the master scorekeeper. And the master scorekeeper can send rosters and, if necessary, corrections (such as a name spelling) to the Event Stations. |

With Message Express, the master station can send text streams independently to the scoreboards. Message Express can even control music or other audio to the club's stereo system. This capability creates many possible and interesting scenarios. And Event Stations can send e-messages to one-another, and to the master scorekeeper. Aerial networking is powerful, and can be used in may creative ways. If you're interested in networking your computers, you may want to check out the LinkSys site for additional information.
